Please see the synopsis below:
Through the course of many, many wicked kings, God teaches us that we can learn from punishment. Ahaziah sought out Baal for healing and Elijah asked, "Is there not a God in Israel?" Elijah is taken up in chariots of fire and Elisha asked, "Where is the God of Elijah?" then he uses the double portion of the Spirit given him. Three kings had no water for their armies and Jehoshaphat asked, "Is there not a prophet of the Lord?" Israel is graced with water and flees from the anger of Chemosh and we must ask, "Is there not a God in Israel?" Naaman the Syrian was cleansed of leprosy and returned a changed man declaring in Syria that there is no other god than the God of Israel. Jehu destroys Baal worship for the LORD only to turn to the golden calves and we must ask, "Is there not a God in Israel?" Eventually Assyria attacks and is there an Israel? No, but there is still a God. Assyria then attacked Judah proclaiming there is no god that can stop him, but the prayer of Hezekiah asked that He prove to the whole world that there is a God in Judah. Manasseh becomes worst still and dooms Judah with his evil, but God still graced them with Josiah, the greatest king after that. He reminds us that even in this ephemeral world, the greatest King of Kings is yet to come to reign eternally, and we must proclaim that there is a God in this world.

God reveals His method of Creation to us, but man says, "No, God, that's not how you do things." God created man to be like Him, but man ate the forbidden fruit saying, "No, God, that's not how you do things." God told man to cover the Earth and subdue it, but man built the Tower of Babel saying, "No, God, that's not how you do things." God promised Abraham a child through his wife Sarah, but Abraham took Hagar saying, "No, God, that's not how you do things." God promised Jacob the covenant before he was born but Jacob stole his birthright saying, "No, God, that's not how you do things." God promised great things to Joseph and through great hardship He accomplished more than expected and Joseph said, "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today." We must stop arguing with God's plan, surrender in our brokenness and trust and obey.
